Effective Facebook Marketing Strategies for Businesses
One fine day (after having spent many waking hours on Facebook) I realized something. Facebook for Business and Facebook for Friends are two different things, with different purposes! I got curious. So, I immediately logged on to the internet, did my research which said yes to my realization. What struck me most was a piece on ‘Effective Facebook Marketing Strategies for Businesses’. Brilliant! That’s useful information!
So I decide to share my learning with you. First, create a Facebook Fan page (your profile page). Fill it up with all relevant data. With that in place, you are ready to follow these strategies right away!
- Customize your page: When your page becomes visible and you get 25 likes, create an easy to remember username, helping people locate you. Provide your community as much information as you can and make them feel compelled to join you. The key is to have a page that’s memorable and stands out. Use smart branding, be creative.
- Lend your page a human touch: A friendly, human touch always works. Interact with your fans the way you do with your friends. Establish a connect and sustain it. Successful companies on Facebook are the ones that have stepped out of their corporate image and logo and have brought their personality in front of their fans.
- Extend Offers, deals, promotions, discounts: Remember, a lot of people who visit Facebook pages of particular brands are happy to see the brands offering them exactly what they expect. Offers and discounts give them a reason to revisit your page. In turn you stand to benefit.
- Promote community interactions and fan-to-fan conversations: Empower your community. Encourage them to communicate. Let them take over! Ask simple questions like which is the country they would like to go on a vacation, food items they like; so on and so forth. Keep them, engaged. But avoid controversial topics. It is wonderful that each interaction is reflected on the fans’ news feed, resulting in repeat visits. If you are taking the lead, then keep the communication two-way. Don’t just post and consider your job done. Linger around for some time, respond and keep the engagement on.
- Create and Update Content: Content is king. Apply the same principle here too. Keep the content fresh, inspirational and updated. Post them in a variety of ways like written blogs, audio blogs, and video blogs to the fullest. You could also consider posting surveys. The idea is to add content that eventually benefits people.
- Track, monitor and measure smartly: Monitoring is crucial. It is your page and you need to do a reality check if all the effort is worth it or not, and whether it is serving the purpose. ‘Likes’, comments and conversion rates should be definitely considered for tracking.
Aren’t these strategies adaptable and worth giving a shot? Then what are you waiting for? Go ahead! Ibea is waiting to hear your success story. Till then…happy Facebook Marketing!
